I have been a fully authorised and accredited Civil Marriage Celebrant since 2007. I was lucky enough to grow up and do my primary and secondary education in the beautiful suburb of Eltham. Then I studied Physical Education at Ballarat College of Advanced Education (now Ballarat University) and enjoyed teaching Physical Education and Maths in Geelong for 15 years at Flinders Peak Secondary College (formerly Corio North High School).

I have always loved working closely with people, so after finishing my teaching career, becoming a Celebrant seemed an obvious choice.

In 2005, my partner Barry and I opted for a life-style change and moved from Geelong to sunny Queensland. We lived in Bundaberg for 9 months then settled north of the Gold Coast for just over 3 years, making many new and lasting friendships. After enjoying the warm and relaxed life-style in Queensland we happily decided to return to Geelong at the start of 2009 to enjoy more time with our family and wide circle of friends.

As every ceremony is different, I do not have a “set” fee. After discussing your requirements, I will give you a definite quote for your ceremony.

My fee includes:

• Initial meeting with you to discuss your requirements
• Email and telephone communication as required
• Creation of your ceremony – with your input, of course
• Preparation and lodgment of all legal documents
• Rehearsal of ceremony
• Other face-to-face meetings as required

In my initial meeting with clients, I like to make it very relaxed and informal. We will discuss your ideas and requirements for the ceremony, what type of ceremony you would like, any special readings or poems you would like included and any special rituals to be performed. I have an extensive range of vows, readings and poems you can look through to help you decide on the content of your ceremony.
